CEO of Firehole Technologies named to Wyoming’s 40 Under Forty

Jerad Stack, CEO of Firehole Technologies, was recently named to Wyoming’s prestigious "40 Under Forty" for 2009. The 40 Under Forty program honors individuals under the age of forty that demonstrate an outstanding record of achievement and a potential to play a continuing leadership role in the state’s future. The annual award spotlights Wyoming’s premier business and community leaders and their accomplishments.

Stack was one of the original founders of Firehole in early 2000 and has been CEO since 2007. Together with his partners, Stack created Firehole Technologies to provide cutting edge technology to the composites engineering community, as well as to create high-tech jobs for people in Wyoming. In the past year, the company has tripled its workforce and launched three commercial products.

US Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY) said of the winners, "You all walk your talk and you have blazed a trail for us all to follow – leading by example." He commended Stack on his efforts as a "leader, mover, and shaker" and for making a difference in the Wyoming community.

Prior to running Firehole, Stack worked for both Raytheon’s Space Systems Division and Trilogy. Along with holding both BS and MS degrees from the University of Wyoming (UW) in Mechanical Engineering, Jerad is a 5th generation UW graduate. Other awards Stack has received include: Trilogy Customer Success Award, Raytheon’s Technical Honors Designation, 2006 Raytheon Program Employee of the Year and the National Reconnaissance Office’s Gold Coin Award for outstanding work on national satellite systems.
